Home Sweet Home, Pburg wins 3rd straight

The rumors were true. The Stateliners of Phillipsburg played a home game. In another shocking turn of events, Franklin pitcher Sohil Patel did not start against Pburg (yes, he graduated, but most still thought he'd get the start). And the weather was somewhat kind of not that bad. Miracles do happen. Dreams do come true. It was a Mac show at the PAC as Big Mac threw to Lil Mac as the Stateliners took on Franklin. From the outset you could tell that Phillipsburg starter wasn't himself but he battled through the first inning without giving up a run. Farmer Ray led the game off with a double down the left field line which was even more impressive because you couldn't see him. Sean Morro singled over a drawn in infield and then Dolla Bill crushed a double high off the fence in deep left center. Dolla Bill then scored on a Diefenslap to right as the Liners took a 3-0 lead. A less than 100% Nicky Mac continued to mow down the opposition. Pburg tacked on 2 runs in the 3rd on a walk, HBP, a couple steals, and a couple RBI groundouts. Nicky Mac left the game after the 5th inning striking out 8 and allowing 1 run on 3 hits. Pburg tacked on some insurance after a Nice Guy Nick Helman double and another protein fueled triple by Stanskid. Lefty Laman came in and Lamanated the Franklin batters striking out four in the final two frames as the Stateliners won 8-1 and improved to 4-2 heading into a showdown with Warren Hills on Saturday. The game is away (of course).
