Phillipsburg baseball's Morro makes wild diving catch for robbery
The Phillipsburg baseball team has only played one game so far this season, but Sean Morro has already turned in the heavy favorite for the play of the year.
In the Stateliners' opener Wednesday against Immaculata, the junior left fielder chased down a deep fly ball to the warning track, left his feet and made an incredible full-extension diving catch to rob the batter of extra bases. He crashed into the bottom of the fence at the end of his dive, but Morro -- a linebacker on Phillipsburg's football team -- popped right up to show he had the ball.
